Once Upon a Treehouse: Well Made, High Quality Toys
I am always on the lookout for high-quality, well-made toys. So often
anymore toys are cheaply made and aren't meant to last. When I was
younger my grandfather made me a beautiful wooden dollhouse. I have so
many fond memories of playing with that dollhouse, and when I came
across Once Upon a Treehouse it brought all of those memories back.
These cute, little 4 inch dolls come in a small organza bag, nestled inside a larger drawstring bag. The drawstring bag is a great way for kids to store their dolls as well as any accessories when they aren't using them.
The dolls are also eco-friendly, which means that I wouldn't be so paranoid if my kids put them in their mouths. (Because let's face it, kids put everything in their mouths!) The faces and hands are cotton, the hair is wool and the body is stuffed with wool, and the hands and feet are made of wood. One of the coolest things though is that since all of the faces are hand painted, no two dolls are the same.
Another thing about these dolls that I really like is that they are flexible which means that children can engage in even more imaginative play. Plus the clothes on the dolls can be changed. Where were these dolls when I was younger? Lol.
These dolls are made in factories here in the United States as well Latvia and Germany. With all of the bad press these days about toys made in China, and the possibility of toxic materials being used, it makes me feel so much better.
