Restless Night

Dear friends, before I get into today's post I wanted to inform you that I am typing this on my phone with cold fingers.

Last night was the first night in a long time that D was not home. I was getting used to him being on daylight. I like to say I am not scared to be home alone. Most of the time it does not bother me at all, in fact there are times I like being home by my self.

Well last night it got the best of me. From 10:00pm to 1:00am I lay listening to every sound the house made. The harder you listen the loader and more intense the sounds.

The car door that opened and shut....followed by the wind ratteling the windows.....Roxie's bark.... The car door again...silence.

After three hours I finally fell asleep. To only have my alarm go off at 4:45am.

I hope to sleep better tonight. To be honest I'm sure I will after the day I had, I'm sure I will!

  1. Sorry to hear about your restless night. Usually when my husband is at home I can fall asleep at 8.00pm... but when he is not ... I am still awake at 12midnight ... so you are not the only one and I sympathies.
I am following you from the Pointing Up hop and would love for you to follow along.

    1. It is so odd how we react to issues like this. That night after I was ready for bed I made myself stay up until I couldn’t stay awake any longer, I fell asleep and shortly after I woke up to an odd noise… It is like you are on high alert. The hubbies should feel good to know we feel safe around them!
